The Fishers Test Kitchen hosts three culinary entrepreneurs who are launching their restaurant concepts from our completely built-out kitchens adjacent to the new Sun King Innovation Brewery. These entrepreneurial chefs will be in the Test Kitchen food hall for a year or two as they test their concepts, refine their menus and build a following. We hope they’ll eventually launch out to their own restaurant location, and then we’ll bring in another aspiring chef to take over the space — all with the goal of creating a more vibrant and exciting local food culture.
Local food fans can come together in the Sun King taproom to try the latest menu options from the Test Kitchen chefs. From global street fare to Korean barbecue to Southern comfort food, diners will find plenty of delicious possibilities. And the Sun King taproom is family friendly too!
The Fishers entrepreneurial focus embraces all aspects of the community, and that includes the culinary arts. We’re growing a vibrant local food community, and the Test Kitchen chefs will be helping to push the city forward — one bite at a time!
Bringing a new concept to Fishers with the Fishers Test Kitchen restaurant accelerator and The Signature Table culinary performance space adjacent to the new Sun King Brewery.
John Wechsler has helped build a vibrant tech community in Central Indiana as founder and CEO of the Launch Fishers business accelerator and the Indiana Internet of Things lab. Now he’s taking an entrepreneurial approach to growing the local restaurant community. With an entrepreneur’s eye for the next great idea and a desire to expand Fishers’ culinary options, he has partnered with the City of Fishers and longtime local food advocate Jolene Ketzenberger to launch the Fishers Test Kitchen restaurant accelerator and the Signature Table culinary performance space.
Jolene Ketzenberger has been involved with the local food community for more than 25 years as a writer for such publications as NUVO Newsweekly, the Indianapolis Star and Indianapolis Monthly. She has also shared the best of Indianapolis and Central Indiana food and dining at Thrillist.com and FoodNetwork.com and on WFYI public radio and WISH-TV’s Indy Style. Her desire to help grow the local food and dining scene led her to partner with the City of Fishers and entrepreneur John Wechsler to create the Fishers Test Kitchen restaurant accelerator and the Signature Table culinary performance space.
