It’s Devour time, and Fishers Test Kitchen restaurants are participating!

At Lil Dumplings, the global street food-inspired restaurant from chef Carlos Salazar, you’ll find a three-course Devour meal of new items.

“I wanted to do something different,” said chef Carlos. “I wanted it to be a special thing.”

The $25 meal includes a first course of a corn and black bean dish. “People know it as Texas caviar,” he said. “Corn, black beans, red onions. It’s nice, fresh and cold, and served with tortillas that we fry to order.”

For the main course, the chef has created a buttery lobster roll, a twist on the typical cold, mayo-drenched sandwich. This version is served warm with a fermented back bean butter. Diners can also opt for a vegetarian cold soba noodle ramen-type dish as a main option. It features heirloom carrots, bean sprouts, pickled red onion and a soft-cooked egg.

For dessert, chef Carlos has also put a creative spin on his popular steam buns. “I call it an Asian sticky bun,” he said. “After steaming, it’s fried. So it’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with an orange and pink peppercorn glaze.”

What to drink with the Lil Dumplings Devour menu? “I think a Pachanga would be nice with it or even Sun King’s new seltzer.”

Sun King is also offering a Devour beer flight special for $8.

The Lil Dumplings Devour menu is available for dine in (at the Sun King Fishers taproom or outside on the patio) or for carry out.
